| Favorite song lyrics What is your favorite song???...I have alot of favorites but i mean the song LYRICS which song do you think has the best message in it??....(try and include lyrics plz) I would say....When I'm gone-Three doors down There's another world inside of me that you may never see There's secrets in this life that I can't hide Well somewhere in this darkness there's a light that I can't find Well maybe it's too far away Or maybe I'm just blind Maybe I'm just blind So hold me when I'm here Right me when I'm wrong Hold me when I'm scared And love me when I'm gone Everything I am And everything in me Wants to be the one you wanted me to be I'll never let you down Even if I could I'd give up everything If only for your good So hold me when I'm here Right me when I'm wrong Hold me when I'm scared You won't always be there So love me when I'm gone Love me when I'm gone When your education x-ray cannot see under my skin I won't tell you a damn thing that I could not tell my friends Roaming through this darkness, I'm alive but I'm alone And part of me is fighting this But part of me is gone So hold me when I'm here Right me when I'm wrong Hold me when I'm scared And love me when I'm gone Everything I am And everything in me Wants to be the one you wanted me to be I'll never let you down Even if I could I'd give up everything If only for your good So hold me when I'm here Right me when I'm wrong Hold me when I'm scared You won't always be there So love me when I'm gone Love me when I'm gone Maybe I'm just blind So hold me when I'm here Right me when I'm wrong Hold me when I'm scared And love me when I'm gone Everything I am And everything in me Wants to be the one you wanted me to be I'll never let you down Even if I could I'd give up everything If only for your good So hold me when I'm here Right me when I'm wrong Hold me when I'm scared You won't always be there So love me when I'm gone Love me when I'm gone, Love me when I'm gone, When I'm gone When I'm gone When I'm gone ....Or Emotinless-Good Charlotte Hey dad I’m writing to you not to tell you, that I still hate you just to ask you how you feel and how we fell apart how this fell apart are you happy out there in this great wide world? do you think about your sons? do you miss your little girl? when you lay your head down how do you sleep at night? do you even wonder if we’re all right? but we’re all right we’re all right chorus: it’s been a long hard road without you by my side why weren’t you there all the nights that we cried you broke my mother’s heart you broke your children for life it’s not ok, but we’re all right I remember the days, you were a hero in my eyes but those were just a long lost memory of mine I spent so many years learning how to survive Now, I’m writing just to let you know that I’m still alive the days I spent so cold, so hungry were full of hate I was so angry those scars run deep inside this tattooed body there’s things I’ll take, to my grave but I’m okay I’m okay chorus: it’s been a long hard road without you by my side why weren’t you there all the nights that we cried you broke my mother’s heart you broke your children for life it’s not ok, but we’re all right I remember the days, you were a hero in my eyes but those were just a long lost memory of mine Now, I’m writing just to let you know that I’m still alive yeah, I’m still alive sometimes… I forgive yeah and this time I’ll admit that I miss you, said I miss you Chorus: it’s been a long hard road without you by my side why weren’t you there all the nights that we cried you broke my mother’s heart you broke your children for life it’s not ok, but we’re all right I remember the days, you were a hero in my eyes but those were just a long lost memory of mine Now, I’m writing just to let you know that were still alive and sometimes I forgive and this time I’ll admit, that I miss you, miss you hey dad

| I'm going to post 2 songs. The first one is a very very simple one. It doesn't have fancy lyrics or any "deep" meaning or anything. A few years ago I met a man online in a chat room (and I"m not talking about my husband). We had an instant connection, so powerful it was amazing. I'm not talking passion or the kind of love I feel for my husband, but he's become like a father to me & I'm like a daughter to him... It's very special, and it almost feels like we should've been related by blood, but we're not :-) We've both been looking for a special someone to fill that void in our lives and we clicked :-) So this song is a song that taken out of context may seem cheezy and simple, but it's a song that grabbed us instantly & it's become "our song" since then :-) (Wonder what it is about this board that makes me get so personal? This is very personal to me )"Made for lovin' you" ~ Doug Stone Everybody, sings a different kind of song All God's children have somewhere they belong Oh I've heard it said, I know it must be true We were meant to be, I'm made for loving you Everybody, has something he must be Call it fortune or just call it destiny I have spent my life making my way to you See the way we fit, I'm made for loving you Like blue skies always sing your name with sunshine And just like laughter goes along with good times I have spent my life making my way to you See the way we fit, I'm made for loving you Girl, I've spent my life making my way to you See the way we fit, I'm made for loving you The second song is a song I always play if I'm stuck in a writer's block, or can't think of a title for my new story or just plainly need to "relax while still thinking" (did that make sense...lol...) Fragile ~ Sting Sting - Fragile lyrics If blood will flow when fresh and steel are one Drying in the colour of the evening sun Tomorrow's rain will wash the stains away But something in our minds will always stay Perhaps this final act was meant To clinch a lifetime's argument That nothing comes from violence and nothing ever could For all those born beneath an angry star Lest we forget how fragile we are On and on the rain will fall Like tears from a star like tears from a star On and on the rain will say How fragile we are how fragile we are On and on the rain will fall Like tears from a star like tears from a star On and on the rain will say How fragile we are how fragile we are How fragile we are how fragile we are

| Starry Night (Don McLean's version) is probably my absolute favorite song. The words are moving, but when paired w/ the melody, is truly poetry set to music. After I first heard the song, I read this website about Van Gogh--it gave more meaning to the struggles in his life and the lyrics in the song. http://vincentvangogh.8m.com/biography.html Starry, starry night Paint your palette blue and grey Look out on a summer's day With eyes that know the darkness in my soul Shadows on the hills Sketch the trees and daffodils Catch the breeze and the winter chills In colours on the snowy linen land Now I understand What you tried to say to me And how you suffered for your sanity And how you tried to set them free They would not listen They did not know how Perhaps they'll listen now Starry, starry night Flaming flowers that brightly blaze Swirling clouds and violet haze Reflect in Vincent's eyes of china blue Colours changing hue Morning fields of amber grain Weathered faces lined in pain Are soothed beneath the artist's loving hand Now I understand What you tried to say to me And how you suffered for your sanity And how you tried to set them free They would not listen They did not know how Perhaps they'll listen now For they could not love you But still your love was true And when no hope was left in sight On that starry, starry night You took your life as lovers often do But I could have told you Vincent This world was never meant for one as beautiful as you Like the strangers that you've met The ragged men in ragged clothes The silver thorn of bloody rose Lie crushed and broken on the virgin snow Now I think I know What you tried to say to me And how you suffered for your sanity And how you tried to set them free They would not listen They're not listening still Perhaps they never will... |

| I have lots of favorites, but one that really means a lot is "I Am What I Am". It's from the musical La Cage Aux Folles, and it was also released as a commercial single by Gloria Gaynor... I am what I am I am my own special creation So come take a look Give me the hook Or the ovation It's my world That I want to have a little pride My world And it's not a place I have to hide in Life's not worth a damn 'Til you can say, "I am what I am" I am what I am I don't want praise, I don't want pity I bang my own drum Some think it's noise, I think it's pretty And so what if I love each sparkle and each bangle Why not see things from a different angle Your life is a sham 'Til you can shout out, "I am what I am" I am what I am And what I am needs no excuses I deal my own deck Sometimes the aces, sometimes the deuces It's one life, and there's no return and no deposit One life, so it's time to open up your closet Life's not worth a damn 'Til you can shout out, "I am what I am" I am what I am And what I am needs no excuses I deal my own deck sometimes the aces, sometimes the deuces It's one life, and there's no return and no deposit One life, so it's time to open up your closet Life's not worth a damn 'Til you can shout out, "I am what I am" I am I am I am good I am I am I am strong I am I am I am worthy I am I am I belong I am I am I am useful I am I am I am true I am I am somebody I am as good as you Yes I am | |

| Okay, don't hate me. This is country, but I LOVE this song. It makes me cry. The Little Girl - John Michael Montgomery Her parents never took the young girl to church Never spoke of His name, never read her His word Two non- believers walking lost in this world Took their baby with them, what a sad little girl. Her daddy drank all day and mommy did drugs Never wanted to play or give kisses and hugs She'd watch the tv and sit there on the couch While her mom fell asleep and her daddy went out. And the drinking and the fighting Just got worse every night Behind their couch she'd be hiding Oh what a sad little life. And like it always does the bad just got worse With every slap and every curse Until her daddy in a drunk rage one night Used a gun on her mom and then took his life Then some people from the city Took the girl far away To a new mom and a new dad Kisses and hugs every day First day of Sunday school the teacher walked in And a small little girl started at a picture of Him She said "I know that man, up there on that cross. I don't know His name, but I know He got off. 'Cause He was there in my old house And held my close to His side As I hid there behind our couch The night that my parents died." | |

| Thanks greenflute! I had some computer "issues" so I'm late in replying. ![]() I have a cat named Vincent Van Gogh...lol. When he was 2 months old, some mean boys cut his ears off, if you can believe that. I'm not a "cat person" per se, since I'm allergic and am a dog lover, but I do love this cat!!! He's awfully sweet--and he plays fetch! |
