See what song was #1 on the day you were born

    Have you ever done this?

Some people believe our lives are profoundly influenced by whatever pop song was number one on the day we were born.

On the day Heather Mills (the ex Mrs McCartney) was born (12th Jan 1968) it was Hello Goodbye by The Beatles!

    My number #1's are:
'You're So Vain' by Carly Simon in the US
'Long Haired Lover From Liverpool' by Little Jimmy Osmond in the UK
'Ben' by Michael Jackson in Australia

    See which songs you get
    This day in Music

    Oh boy!

For me, it was "Ain't that a Shame" by Pat Boone in the US.

In the UK it was "Rose Marie" by Slim Whitman.

And in Aus., they did not even track the songs until a few months after I was born.

I doubt I have ever heard either song sung by these dudes.

US - "Let Me Be Your Teddy Bear" - Elvis Presley.

UK - "Gamblin' Man/Putting On The Style" - Lonnie Donegan

AUS - "Round & Round" - Perry Como

I just can't believe my life has been profoundly affected by any of these!

Yeah, Eleanor Rigby is one of the best songs ever!

UK: "A Different Corner" - George Michael

    US: "Kiss" - Prince

AUS: "When The Going Gets Tough The Tough Get Going" - Billy Ocean

Jeez, Manny. I forgot you were born when I was graduating from high school! I feel old.

    Here are my #1's:
US: "Hey Jude" - The Beatles
UK: "Those Were The Days" - Mary Hopkin (Who?)
AUS: "Hey Jude" - The Beatles

    So, 2 out of 3 isn't bad.

I've never heard of this song!

Wedding Bell Blues - The 5th Dimension

I just looked it up on Youtube, and no, it doesn't ring a bell. *rimshot* It's pretty square, and I'm all for monogamy.

I'm jealous of all the Beatles results.
