I saw her farewell tour when Joe Cocker opened for her. I went to see Joe but thoroughly enjoyed her.
ETA For someone that will be 68 this year she can really, really work it.

I saw her on that tour as well, Unk. My mom is a huge fan so I went with her. I can't believe she still moves that way at her age!

And... the hot chick of the "My Grammy" people wins. Big shock! But she IS pretty good. I wonder though, did they practice this with all THREE of them? I mean the arrangement would have to be different for the Cello.

EDIT - Oh I see. She just got the appropriate chair in the established orchestra. So some celloist from that orchestra who otherwise might have had to sit out if the other girl had won got to stay.

You know, I wonder if they have a guard on Amy Winehouse to make sure she doesn't snort or swallow something in the bathroom before her performance.

George Lopez says only in America can a white woman and a black man run for President of the United States. Yep, it certainly would be hard to do in say Mexico or Canada.

George Lopez cracks me up more for not being all that smart rather than actually being funny. Look at his statement:

"Only in America! The only place where a white woman and a black man can run for the President of the United States."

Think about that statement carefully.

Why? Cyndi's allowed to have preferences. What rule requires her to be neutral. And part of the HUGE tragedy of Amy Winehouse is that before the drugs her talent DID deserve devotion. We may not see that tonight. We shall see.
