Re: Songs that get stuck in your head
A clothing store here is using All I Want For Christmas is You for their Christmas comemrcials (TV and print) so whenever I pass a billboard of it, the song gets stuck in my head. At least it's their version as opposed to Mariah Carey's which I really can't stand.
Re: Songs that get stuck in your head
Unk, love the car (and the song) and guess, what, it's now stuck in MY head. Thanks a lot there buddy! :lol
Re: Songs that get stuck in your head
I constantly getting songs stuck in my head. Not the same one, just different ones that I might happen to have heard on tv, a radio, or someone else singing... or even read something that reminded me of lyrics. :crying
My current one stuck in my head is Rock The Boat by Hues Corporation. It's been stuck here since last week when I heard it on Don't Forget The Lyrics, that Wayne Brady-hosted game show.
Our love is like a ship on the ocean
We've been sailing with a cargo full of love and devotion
Rock the boat
Don't rock the boat, baby
Rock the boat
Don't tip the boat over
:nerd

Same thing happened to me and I KNEW the missiing lyric the woman missed too. Then I had the song there for a few days after that.
Re: Songs that get stuck in your head
I'm not sure if this qualifies as being stuck in my head (a phenomenon with which I am intimately familiar, having survived 6 solid months of Leaving on a Jet Plane, followed by 4 months of La donna e mobile) but if I spontaneously start singing, it is almost always (probably 95% of the time) M'appari, tutt' amor. If I sing a second song, it is almost always Tra voi belle.
Re: Songs that get stuck in your head
Well thank God I can't catch that problem from you, Newf. :lol I have no freaking idea what those songs are.

Good, you won't have to go to the free clinic :omg Quote:

M'appari is a very pretty aria about love at first sight, the joy it brings, and the crushing despair that (inevitably :angryman) follows. I sat bolt upright the first time that I heard Tra voi belle, it was that catchy. It's kind of sexist (gasp!); basically, the tenor is asking a group of women, "OK, who's the lucky one who gets to be with me?" :lol (Later on in Act 1, the same tenor sings the beautiful Donna non vidi mai (never have I seen such a beautiful woman) so I guess that he isn't too sexist at heart.)

Sorry, couldn't resist. :lol :cheek
All my bags are packed
Im ready to go
Im standin here outside your door
I hate to wake you up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin
Its early morn
The taxis waitin
Hes blowin his horn
Already Im so lonesome
I could die
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that youll wait for me
Hold me like youll never let me go
cause Im leavin on a jet plane
Dont know when Ill be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go
Theres so many times Ive let you down
So many times Ive played around
I tell you now, they dont mean a thing
Evry place I go, Ill think of you
Evry song I sing, Ill sing for you
When I come back, Ill bring your wedding ring
So kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that youll wait for me
Hold me like youll never let me go
cause Im leavin on a jet plane
Dont know when Ill be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go
Now the time has come to leave you
One more time
Let me kiss you
Then close your eyes
Ill be on my way
Dream about the days to come
When I wont have to leave alone
About the times, I wont have to say
Oh, kiss me and smile for me
Tell me that youll wait for me
Hold me like youll never let me go
cause Im leavin on a jet plane
Dont know when Ill be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go
But, Im leavin on a jet plane
Dont know when Ill be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go

Not a problem :lol I still like the song, and still sing it occasionally. It's been about 6 years since it possessed me.
