Even though I am a HUGE Lenny Kravtiz fan...I did not like his version of "American Woman" as much as I liked the Guess Who's!

Reality is the beginning...not the end....Wallace Stevens
Ann Wilson did a version of the old Animals song We Got To Get Out Of This Place & it was good, but no where close to Eric Burden.
Micheal Buble's version of Wonderful Tonight will make you barf... It has to be one of the worst remakes I've ever EVER heard...
Ingorance killed the Cat... Curiousity was framed!
I had to come here immediately before I forgot this. XM 40 the deep tracks station plays some incredible music. But, just now they are playing Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap by ..... Leslie Gore. Good googly moogly.
Ok, that is just wrong.![]()
Jesssica Simpson-Take My Breath Away
Any remake of any Lynyrd Skynyrd song.
That's really kinda sacreligious to us here in the South, isn't it CantGetNuf?????Originally Posted by CantGetNuf;2615984;

I am seriously disappointed by the Big and Rich Shook me all night long. I got excited when I heard about it so I immediately downloaded it. I love their hic hop but they went way to country with it. Knowing what they could have done with it i'm really disapointed.
I guess I am just the opposite. I like what B&R did with the song, probably because it is such a huge unexpected departure from the original. I don't much like the hic hop stuff. These guys are so talented & such great song writers that I don't see the need for a gimic. You hardly ever see a time when the Country Top 40 doesn't include songs written by John Rich or Big Kenny.Originally Posted by CantGetNuf;2616030;
I feel as though any cover that U2 or Bono does is woefully misguided.
I can't remember the exact quote, but in one of my all-time favorite music articles, the 311 cover was described something like, "They set the reggae machine to 'medium' and went at it." The original quote was a lot funnier, though. It also mentioned how Robert Smith's vocals are plaintive and very emotional, and Mr. 311 Frat Boy just sounds disgustingly smarmy.Originally Posted by burntbrat
