    Britney

Here's the link to her performance that is on MTV Overdrive....

I gather from bits and pieces they have said on the show that there must have been an altercation between Kid Rock and Tommy Lee during the show????
Pamela kept telling Tommy to hush when she was on stage, Jamie Foxx kept making comments about Kid Rock fighting and P. Diddy just made some comment about he was supposed to be up there with Kid Rock but that apparently there is fighting even among people who are not rappers (or something to that effect!)

I guess I know I'm getting old because I have been bored to tears watching the show tonight!

Wow, I watched the show for about 45 minutes and it was the hands down worst VMAs I've seen thus far. Britney's performance was ridiculous. She looked like she was half asleep. The way the show was set up was just stupid.
    Wake up and be awesome

Ugh! I just watched Britney's "performance" on mtv.com. Holy crap, was that bad. First, someone pulling down $700K per month for doing nothing can afford better extensions. Second, whomever choreographed that mess and did the costumes needs to look past "Cell Block Tango" for inspiration. And third, for the love of Cheetos, if you're sporting a beer gut, don't wear the equivalent of a bikini to dance (however sedatedly) for just under 4 minutes on the television. It went from funny to sad in about 2.5 seconds.

Terrible performance, but really when it's the VMAs (which for the most part suck), what are we really expecting. Brutal showing by Britney, brutal awards show. There were a few great performances, but other than that, waste of 2 hours.

Im glad im not the only one who thought she sucked majorly. I can't get over it because bad doesn't describe it. No effort and no anthusiasm.
I really liked the suite parties but im not feeling brave enough to kill my browser with mtv's wonky site, especially with all the hits it's getting.
Through Jaime Foxx, i heard of the fight between Tommy and Kid. I'm going to go snoop now.:p

The word you are looking for is "tragic".

There was a fight, Kid punched Tommy and both were ejected from the show. Apparently because of Tommy's comments while Pam was presenting. There's an article somewhere, but I can't find it right now. If you want it, I will look some more.

Fight Breaks Out Between Tommy Lee & Kid Rock At VMAs

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (September 9, 2007) – Two former husbands of Pamela Anderson engaged in a physical altercation at the 2007 MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night.

The two men — Tommy Lee of the rock band Motley Crue and Kid Rock, appeared to get physical in the audience.

According to a source who witnessed the event, Tommy Lee was sitting with magician Criss Angel. The two went over to see Diddy who was sitting in close proximity to Kid Rock.

At some point after the twosome made their way over to Diddy, “all hell broke loose,” the source told Access.

People immediately gathered around the fracas and both Lee and Kid Rock were escorted out.

Angel followed shortly after, though it did not appear, the witness told Access, that the magician was escorted out.

It was unclear at the time of press, what the scuffle was over, but from the stage, actor Jamie Foxx made a reference to the incident, saying, “let’s stop all of this white on white crime.”

Anderson herself was at the event, and made an appearance on stage. She appeared to have brought magician Hans Klok to the show.

Tommy Lee, Kid Rock Brawl at VMAs
    SUNDAY SEPTEMBER 09, 2007 11:00 PM EDT

The MTV Video Music Awards prides itself on unscripted moments – and Sunday's show was no exception: Kid Rock reportedly punched rocker Tommy Lee during the ceremony.

As MTV veejay Sway reported during the post-show telecast: "Tommy Lee was sitting by Diddy. [Kid Rock] just walked up and decked him!" It was unclear how the fight started, and there was no immediate word on whether police got involved.

According to an onlooker in the audience, "They had each other at the necks, they were practically strangling each other." Another eyewitness saw Tommy Lee escorted out, "screaming the f-word over and over again." He was taken out into main casino in front of thousands of fans.

While the fight was not televised, it was certainly a topic of conversation during the ceremony.

As Jamie Foxx came out to present the Best New Artist award with Garner", he joked, "Stop all of this white-on-white crime. Tommy Lee and Kid Rock fighting like black folks – it's hilarious." As the crowd hooted, Foxx, added, "Who won? I was in the bathroom." And he noted, in jest, "Pamela Anderson has got a hard choice to make."

Anderson has been married to both rockers, who have feuded in the past. While she most recently divorced Kid Rock – in February – she still maintains a friendship with Tommy Lee, with whom she has two sons.

Later in the telecast, Diddy also referenced the spat before introducing the final performance. "I was supposed to be doing this with Kid Rock, but you know, we got to stop the violence," he joked. "It's not just hip-hop artists that fight."
