    The Ultimate Party Tunes

Which songs do you feel are the "Ultimate Party Tunes?"
List as many as you wish, then return and add more anytime you think of them.
I'm in the Ultimate Party Mood Tonight, so get on board and post the songs that should be played at any party, or your own Party!!!

    I'm starting it out with...

Freedom - Grandmaster Flash, Melle Mel & The Furious Five (1979)

OMG that song is pure EARLY Rap, it's over 8 minutes long & I know EVERY word!!

Well naturally being from the South (and from Alabama)...I am obligated to add "Sweet Home Alabama" and "Freebird" by Skynyrd

    Let's also add:

    Brick House by Commodores
Friends in Low Places by Garth (good for the beer drinking party!)
Reality is the beginning...not the end....Wallace Stevens

I reckon it depends on the kind of party we are referring to. Back in "the day" we used to put on Meddle by Pink Floyd & melt into the furniture. Amazing that we all survived those days.

I'll see that and raise you one. We'd dub several live Floyd bootlegs onto each long reel-to-reel tape so we wouldn't have to get up and flip/change albums.
