Radiohead is one of my favorite bands, and The Bends is one of my favorite all-time albums. I also love OK Computer and Kid A but I haven't warmed up much to the stuff they did after. Thom is amazing -- his voice gives me goosebumps. I like playing several of their songs on guitar.

Can't remember the name of it...
It's called Motion Picture Soundtrack and it's one of my favourite Radiohead songs. And sorry for being completely anal, but the first line actually goes like this: "White wine and sleeping pills". Sorry for nitpicking.

Thats ok Geek. I've also been known to sing "I'm a freak. I'm a loser, what the hell am I doing here?"

The song that pulled me in was "Optimistic". I'd already heard 2 of their songs from OK Computer so i had something to go on. From then on, "You and Whose Army", "I might be wrong", etc.

    Optimistic
Great song, shows great vocal range, I love the layering of the guitars
One song that I did not really like at first but really grew on me was "Let Down"
It begins so slow and melancholy and you feel like it will be just some depressing, boring song, but no
It then slowly builds and becomes lighter and gradually grows into a full bloom (cheesy metaphor, I know, but it's true)
However, I don't recommend as the first Radiohead song people listen to because it's not the best example of their established work
That is more of a song that grows on you overtime
I suggest you follow their career chronologically and start with Pablo Honey
Not their best album definitely, but it was their first album and they get more creative with every album
IMO, they peaked with OK Computer, just epic
Then they began to become too creative in most people's eyes and for their next album, they want to return to the simpler rock of The Bends
    Keep listening!
    I miss AJ!!

Let Down is one of my absolute favorites. I love Thom's voice on that one.

What do you guys think of their new album, In Rainbows?
I think it's incredible, my favorite songs are Nude and Videotape
The whole CD is just amazing, and I love how they let their fans choose the price
Rolling Stone gave it 4 1/2 stars, and RS very rarely gives an album over 4 stars

LedZep, Nude is actually a slightly reworked B-side song (Big ideas). I fell in love with that song when Thom sang it simply accompanied by his piano at an outdoors concert in Montreal a few years ago.

I just got In Rainbows. I don't listen to Radiohead, so I wanted to hear what all the hype was about. Needless to say, I'm pretty sorry that I hadn't started listening to them earlier, as I'm really enjoying it. 15 Step is absolutely perfect - a new favorite for sure. I've also read about the 0110 theory about OK Computer, so more incentive to buy more Radiohead?
    Gustav Holst was right!

We are so into In Rainbows. My favorites are Last Flowers to the Hospital. Thom's voice is amazing, as usual. Another fav, Angel Gets Caught in the Beauty Trap. And 15 step is great.

Saw where they are touring overseas. Most if not all shows already sold out.

edited: angel gets caught is by no-man..
