I hated Eminem for a long time, but then I actually started listening to his music, and now I'm a fan. I think his 8 Mile stuff was brilliant.
Me too. I hated Eminem when I heard Stan but now after hearing Cleaning out my closet I'm a fan of his.Originally posted by Jill

He's good. His rap is pretty meaningful sometimes also.
Meaningful? Um ok...I'm not an Eminem fan.I find him irritating.
Man, I couldn't disagree with someone more.Originally posted by John
I've only ever heard half of one of Eminem's songs (except the one he sang with Elton John at the, um, AMA a couple years ago?)
I think he sucks, he has no talent, he has no ability to let go of his pathetic past (also known as the "Corey Feldman Syndrome"), and I can't believe a guy like this is considered talented. He's a moron.
I have been a fan of his since his first album. His newest, "The Eminem Show" is so good (IMHO) I can't imagine how he can top it. I own all his CD's and listen to him often.

Rox, did you think TES was better than the 8 Mile album? I think, as I've said before, that 8 Mile was really, really good, but I do like TES as well. I just love the video for "Without Me," it's too funny.
Matt, I agree; I think his lyrics are very affecting, especially for anyone who can identify with Eminem's past home life.
My favorite is "Sing for the Moment" off of 8 Mile, but I liked "Run Rabbit Run" very much as well. There will always be a special place in my heart for "Purple Pills" though.
Yes, Jill I do think TES is better than the 8 Mile soundtrack. I think the songs are lyrically stronger, and there is a bigger range.
Till I collapse and When the Music Stops.. two of my personal favs.
(Sing for the moment is supposed to be the next video I hear)
love this too.... 9 millimeter heater stashed in 2 seaters with meat cleavers/I don't blame you, I wouldn't let Hailie listen to me neither...

I really like him. My daughter is always fighting with me driving so far as music goes (she like a lot of rap)
I like some of it.
There's a station here that I can't stand - her favorite called 94.5
they all start sounding the same (rap songs)
but, this is one we both enjoy.
I loved the movie too. I thought he was very good. Not Oscar good, but; liked it.
I love his song from the movie - I hope it wins the Oscar.
