| You don't have to, but it's highly recommended, for safety. I think...I could be wrong.

| I wonder if there are medical reasons for Britney having c sections? That surgery is performed, unnecessarily, more than any other operation. I think in Tennessee it's like 78% of c sections were unnecessary. |

| My daughter recently delivered her baby by c-section. I was with her during her six week check-up when she asked the doctor if she could deliver her next child vaginally. He said there is a 5% chance of uterine rupture during labor, should the mother try for a vaginal birth, so they discourage it these days. He also said having all your children by c-section is safe, even if you plan a large family. Personally, I'd rather be safe than sorry. I think Sutton Pierce is a great name. It sounds far more dignified than I'd have expected from K-fed and Brit.

| I had a c-section and the doctor told me some conditions had to be met for a VBAC (vaginal birth after ceserean). Namely, the baby has to be less than a certain weight (8 pounds, I think?) and it has to be more than two years since the last c-section, which in Britney's case did not happen. | |
