Britney and Kevin Not Caught on Tape

There's no doubt Britney Spears has made her fair share of mistakes over the years, but filming a sex tape and then allowing it to slip into the wrong hands is apparently not one of them. (Yet.)

Attorney Mark Vincent Kaplan, who represents Spears' estranged husband, Kevin Federline, has denied the existence of a sex tape featuring the ex-couple in response to "rampant" reports that Federline has been actively shopping such a tape to various purveyors.

"There is not a sex video of Kevin and Britney in existence. It goes without saying that the stories of Kevin attempting to sell such a video are patently false, and anyone who reports that they have information of such attempts is either lying or reporting the lie of someone else," Kaplan said Tuesday.

Earlier this month, Britain's News of the World reported that Federline was looking for a buyer for a four-hour sextravaganza starring him and Spears and had already received an offer of $50 million.

"They did nothing all day but have sex—and play the odd game of chess," a source supposedly close to Federline said of the alleged footage.

Last week, online gambling site betus.com claimed to be negotiating for the rights to a joint Spears-Federline production through Federline's representatives at ICM. The site later backpedaled on its claim, after ICM pointed out Federline is not on the agency's client roster, but stated it was continuing to pursue the tape through "authorized sellers."

In a press release, betus.com touted the alleged tape as making Paris Hilton's sex tape, One Night in Paris, look like "a children's cartoon."

"After the Paris tape dropped and became a huge hit, you would think Britney would have gotten rid of the tape," betus.com spokesperson Christopher Bennett said in a statement last week. "Wasn't this the same girl who, not too long ago, came out and said she was a virgin? I wonder how many tapes she's made? We could have a series."

Betus.com did not respond to a request for comment on Kaplan's denial of the sex tape.

Disavowing her starring role in an on-camera mattress romp with Federline is nothing new for Spears.

The mother of two filed a $10 million defamation suit against Us Weekly last year, after the tab published an item claiming she and Federline were fearful that racy footage they shot in 2004 would become public.

A judge dismissed the case earlier this month, stating that such a claim could not be considered defamatory, particularly in light of the twosome's foray into reality TV with the home-video special Britney & Kevin: Chaotic.

If no X-rated footage of Spears and Federline exists by this point, it's highly unlikely it ever will.

Spears filed for divorce from Federline earlier this month after two years of marriage, citing irreconcilable differences and requesting custody of their two children.

Shortly thereafter, Federline fired back with court documents of his own, seeking sole custody of the kids and spousal support from Spears.

I expect Cameron and Justin to stay together. They make a great couple.

I think Britney's finally trying to get on with her life and back on the scene. I saw her last night on the AMA's. She introduced someone. She looked great, actually, and it was nice to see her happy without that loser beside her.

Did someone catch what Jimmy Kimmel's stunt was at the beginning of the show. Did he put K-Fed in a box and push it over the edge into the river? I missed some of it.

I thought she looked more like a cow, chomping on that gum.

And a K-Fed look alike (although to me he looked more like one of the Backstreet boys) was indeed lowered from the ceiling (for his last appearance), nailed shut into a box and thrown in the ocean to never be seen again. Or so I hope

As great as divorcing Kevin was. I thought it would mean a 'better' Britney. Not one who trades vices. Where are her children in all of this. She isn't a young teen anymore, she doesn't need to be flashing the world or partying every night if she's trying to make a comeback.

Interesting pairing with Paris, wonder how that happened.

Yes, again where is the publicist in all of this? Now if the time for a make-over Britney, both career and manners-wise.

I think now is definitely the time to be a stable parent if there are custody issues going around. B's bob haircut is so very cute; I hate the Paris' lookalike extensions she is sporting in that pic. UGH!

I know. Staying out until 5am over Thanksgiving with Paris Hilton and Lindsay Lohan can't look good to a judge. She had this custody thing in the bag, now she's lost her mind, again.
