Er, Tears for Fears wasn't quite a one-hit-wonder. There was Change, Mad World, Pale Shelter, Suffer the Children, Shout, Mad World, and Everybody Wants to Rule the World (crap, that one). Change was one of the best dance songs of 1983, and Pale Shelter one of the most beautiful.

I played "The Hurting" to death – until I hated it. It was a great album.

As for others, my list was a lot like Chorita's, at least by the mid/late-eighties. Before that, I guess King Crimson's Discipline wasn't on too many playlists…

But a few more no one has mentioned:

    The One Thing - INXS
She Blinded Me with Science - Thomas Dolby
Living on the Ceiling - Blancmange
Burning Down the House - Talking Heads
    Bloody Sunday - U2
    Birthday - The Sugarcubes
    Joey - Concrete Blonde (technically it's 1990, but who's counting…)
The Dogs of War - Pink Floyd
Can't Hardly Wait - The Replacements (not their best, but the only one that made it radio, I think)

How did I miss the quiz before? I got 94.125. I don't know whether to be proud or embarrassed.

Hey.... on Def Leppard, but..... Tears for Fears were SO not one hit wonders!!! Everybody Wants to Rule the World, Head Over Heels (my favorite), Sowing the Seeds of Love, Mad World, Mothers Talk, Suffer the Children.....all awesome songs and pretty big hits.

I'm an 80s child all of the way... love it!

Ooops... now I see that jasmar has already responded to that.

I loved that quiz! And I thought I was doing awful because I kept drawing a blank on some lyrics that I knew. Like "You were born in the city, "blank" under your feet". I put in palmtrees. Doh! Palmtrees and concrete sound the same. I got 103. Mostly because I knew some of the more obscure lyrics (but I didn't think they were that obscure) like Africa and Don't You Want Me and It Must've Been Love.

I don't have any good 80's song suggestions. All of my favorite 80's songs are probably on the worst songs of the century list. Like "My Girl Wants to Party All the Time" by Eddie Murphy. When I was a kid we used to sing "My Girl Wants to Potty All the Time". Another one I really like but haven't heard in a while is "I Always Feel Like Somebody's Watching Me".
