I detest Vanessa Carlton's voice. Just hate it.

The stations around here have finally retired 1000 Miles and are now playing that Pretty Baby song.

It's a good thing handguns are illegal in Canada.
If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker.
It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.

Anything--and I do mean anything--by The Offspring or Rage Against the Machine.

A lot of people whose musical tastes gel with mine actually like Offspring and Rage Against the Machine, which baffles me to no end.

#1: Neither band has a lead singer who can carry a tune.

#2: The songs that get radio play have atrocious lyrics.

#3: ...And most importantly, I despise their contrived, artificial "angst."

    Shut the @#$% up, already!

I don't like Vanessa Carlton's voice either. I still like "A Thousand Miles" as long as I don't hear it all the time and I can't even stand to listen to "Ordinary Day".

Another song I hate is "Soak Up The Sun" by Sheryl Crow. I didn't like it to being with and then it seemed like stations played it forever...

And I don't like pretty much any song by Celine Dion...especially that "That's the Way It Is" song, or whatever it's called. It's odd because I really liked her in the early 90s but she just got so annoying...

    Threadjack Warning:

I know you're talking about Celine Dion's That's the Way It Is (Could it be That's the Way Love Goes?), but that reminds me of some MTV "favorites" which drive me up a wall:

    1. That's Just the Way It Is by Bruce Hornsby & The Range

Hey, remember the '80s? Hey, remember when you couldn't turn on the radio without hearing this song? Boy, I sure do. And now I know what it's like to live out everlasting damnation.

    2. Sledgehammer by Peter Gabriel

It wasn't so much the song--which was bad, IMHO--but the video which received all that critical acclaim it didn't deserve.

And speaking of Pete, hey, In Your Eyes was good--like up to the 400th time I heard the damn thing. And I know that's not his fault, but still--it's the last resort for every--and I do mean every--high school kid wooing a girl he thinks is out of his league, no thanks to Say Anything.

    3. That new Lean on Me. Another perennial I despise with all the blackness in my heart.

This may be in the thread already. I forget his name --
Body is a Wonderland -- sounds like he's drunk and it makes me crazy. I have to turn it off quick ! I can't believe he won a freakin Grammy.
And sorry Nora Jones fans. I do not get it!
So, where's the Cannes Film Festival being held this year?

Well Stevie, you and I could listen to a lot of music together because runner up to Vanessa Carlton in the Make Miss F's ears bleed contest is John Mayer.

He seems like a good guy, but I hate his voice. Your Body is a Wonderland has *got* to be the stupidest song ever.

I totally agree with Miss F on this one too! I personally don't get the Kelly Clarkson "A Moments Like This," I love her voice and all, but the song is just dreadful.
