Christmas Shoes is by Newsong and I happen to think it's a very meaningful song. If you see the movie, you may change your mind about it. But that's just MHO
Hurley: (holding up a Jesus statue) I don't know. I thought there might be a prowler or something.
Mrs. Reyes: (grabbing the statue) Jesus Christ is not a weapon! - LOST "There's No Place Like Home Pt. 1

I'm really not a fan of Christmas/holiday music, but I do have a few favorites:

My Grown Up Christmas List- Amy Grant
Song for a Winter's Night- Sarah McLachlan
    Elf's Lament- Barenaked Ladies
Christmas at Ground Zero- Weird Al Yankovic

    My least favorite:
Little Drummer Boy- in any way, shape or form. Can't stand it.

Speaking of the Barenaked Ladies - they are having a Christmas special (Also called Barenaked for the Holidays) tomorrow night (December 13) at 8 pm on Bravo Canada.
If you type "google" into google you can break the internet.

Thanks Broadway and CCL! I'll keep my eyes out for it . I couldn't have a listen at the site you mentioned because my computer is too old, but it gave me an idea of what was on the CD.

In order of their release, here are just a few of the ones I make sure to listen to each year:

"A Charlie Brown Christmas" (Album) - Vince Guaraldi Trio (65)
"Wonderful Christmastime" - Paul McCartney (79)
"Christmas Wrapping" - The Waitresses (81)
    "2000 Miles" - The Pretenders (84)
    "Last Christmas" - Wham! (84)
"Do They Know It's Christmas" (Extended) - Band Aid (84)
    "She Won't Be Home" - Erasure (88)
"Frosty the Snowman" - Cocteau Twins (93)
"All We Need For Christmas" - Thomas Donovan (95)

Disclaimer: Hey, I never said they were all 'good' songs! heh

and the usual assortment of classics (which seem to usually be performed by Bing)...
