aww... no love for jingle bells? I adore this song because it's simple and easier for me to "follow"/sing along.
Huh? Oh, you talkin' to me? Sorry, I didn't hear you.

Well, its about that time again people. Christmas season is just around the corner.
I have to say that I just got a hold of Josh Groban's newest album Noel. Oh my god I have to say that man can get me in the holiday mood any time of the year! His version of "I'll Be Home for Christmas" featured recordings of soldiers overseas in the Middle East. I lost it crying the first 20 times I listened to it.

Just take a listen to it. Its a great cd peeps!!!

Merry Christmas from the Family by Robert Earl Keen.

It's a Christmas Carol for every dysfunctional family and I can't wait to play it again this year. I just crack up everytime I hear it.

But my most favorite is Grover Washington, Jr's version of Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring
    And Breath of Heaven.

Worst: Grandma got run over by a reindeer

That's a song that hasn't made across the Atlantic to be played here often if at all. I probably wouldn't be able to identify it. And judging from this thread I should be happy about that.

Awww myrosiedog, I don't mind the song and the movie's really cute!!

I love all Christmas songs. Christmas is my absolute favourite holiday. The only thing is, I don't like hearing Christmas songs prior to December 1. After that they can go nuts, but before that it's just a big nono.

Yes, you should be extremely happy about that.

I don't want to hear Christmas music until after Thanksgiving so I feel te same way Canadian Angel.

One year, a friend of mine sent out a blanket email about Christmas music and she had a typo about her favorite holiday song: "Oh, Hole Night". Well don't you know that from then on, we have come up with all kinds of Christmas song titles with the word "hole" in them. Some are kind of naughty. Like Rudolph the red _________ reindeer. And Santa's ___________ is coming to town.
We three Holes from Orient are. Anyway, its become somewhat of a regular seasonal joke now amongst us.

Oh and I don't care for the barking dogs doing jinglebells either. I hear enough dog barking as it is.

Re: Best and Worst Holiday Songs

I haven't read this whole thread, but I hope someone has mentioned one of the best, yet maybe least heard Holiday songs ever. Do You Believe In Father Christmas by Emerson Lake & Palmer, has to rate right at the top of my faves list.

I think I am the only person on this board who likes Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer.
