thats true amy..Ive heard Kelly sing good...'beautiful disaster" is an amazing song for her voice, and she even does good on the cd for SUBG, but I think in her live performances she does try to turn it into a hard rock performance and it doesnt work for her..Im worried about her voice really, the screaming isnt good for it.

Mmhm. Agree with both of you (Amy Lee, Srs) - She does have a lovely voice when she sings the right songs. She's overdoing this "rocker" image though. But I guess it's her only option to break free of the "Idol" label. I mean, RnB/Soul is not her thing in comparison to the real soul singers out there, and Pop would just make her more of a bubblegum star, ie. The American Idol, so I guess her new Rock sound helped her break free of all that Idol stuff.

Anyway, that was totally off topic haha. Back onto the VMA's - after watching the entire show, they were meh. The beginning started off pretty good, but it just went downhill from there. Oh well, there's always next year, and the year after, and the year after that.

I don't know if i'm in the minority or not, but this years show was so boring, i could barely sit through 3 hours of it. The VMA's have been really going downhill lately.

I thought it was a bit off myself. It's been off for the past 5 yrs. or at least when Chris Rock doesn't host. They also need to get out of Miami and come back home to NY.

Did ya'll see Lil Jon try to grab Paulina Rubio's boob? What a perv (even if it was a risque dress, it doesn't give him the right to grab). Good for her for handling it well. I wish they had a full length reggaeton performance instead of just snippets from the three. The way Fat Joe introduced them I thought they were all three going to perform TOGETHER and those were just intro performances. Arrglecrombie and Fitch. lol
