Hmmm. The first two that come to mind are Michael McDonald and David Clayton Thomas.
and Aretha Franklin are my favorites, almost forgot Joan Osborne
That's all folks!
In no particular order
Joe Cocker (saw him open for Tina Turner)
Leon Russell (saw in 1971)
Elton John (Early 70's stuff saw in '71)
Crosby Stills Nash & Young
How could I forget Linda Ronstadt and Diana Krall? Add to that: Dinah Washington.
At the risk of being laughed at, my all time number one favorite has been, is now, and always shall be Barry Manilow. Name me one other male singer who's won a tony, an emmy, and a grammy, and been nominated for an oscar. The man is a phenomenal talent and one of the nicest people you'll ever meet too.
Courtesy and Goodwill
Freddie Mercury (and the rest of Queen)
Sharon Den Adel
would rather be cruising!
Male would have to be Billy Joel
Female would be Martina McBride
As bands go, I flip flop all over, but I'm obsessed with Train and the Bacon Brothers

I read around a lot of the post on this subject and I'm not sure, correct me if I'm wrong, but how could not one person love Frank Sinatra as their all time favorite singer? He's one of mine. He's awesome. But I like a range of different singer for different genres and types of music.
Frank Sinatra is definately the best when it comes to the old school stuff, ya know.. I'm still young so its not like I listen to him on a regular basis but he is all time classic.
My favorite rocker would have to be.. I'm not really sure I'm not a big of classic rock so I would have to say my favorite rock band would be Hoobastank.. probably not a respectful artist with most of ya'll but oh well.
Rapper would have to be Jay Z but I'm really a big fan of rap anyways.
Pop/R&B singer definately Beyonce and Arethla Franklin and definately Tina Turner. They're so different, but I like them both at the same level. Most probably don't respect Beyonce like I do, but she's a rising talented star.. not some Britney Spears or NYSNC wanna be. so different, but I like them both at the same level.
But those are my two cents.
I love Ruben and the FORT
I can't name just one, it's too difficult. I love Will Downing's deep, sensuous voice. I also love Brian McKnight's and Luther Vandross' voices. R Kelly is one of my favorites, not so much for his voice but for his music. Elton John touches my heart.
As for women, my favorites are Anita Baker and Toni Braxton.
Rappers: Tupac is my favorite but I also like WC's style.
To be a champion, you have to believe in yourself when nobody else will.
