Thanks BB, you are the best. There were two separate parties celebrating the #1 status of Wasted. ASCAP & BMI had separate affairs, since some of the writers are associated with one service or the other. The BMI one was held on the roof of one of the downtown Nashville Hotels that looks out over music row.
During one of her interviews she said she would be going to Las Vegas this weekend as an early arrival before the ACM awards on Tuesday. She is flying her Mom out so that they could spend a Mothers day together in LV, shopping, & seeing some shows. Evidently her Dad is going to make an extremely rare appearance at the ACM show as well.
I reckon her trophy cabinet is stretched to the limit by now.
Razorbacker, I'm sure I don't need to ask, but please post your experience at the concert.Originally Posted by razorbacker;2378457;
You can count on it, as long as they still have the public computers available, I will update daily. I enjoyed bringing the experience to these boards last year.Originally Posted by RubyRed;2386036;
I will be seeing Carrie 3 times that week. Tuesday afternoon at the fan club party, Tuesday Night at the Grand Ol Opry, & Friday Night in the stadium during CMA Fest.
They are still firming up the artists schedules but here is what they have listed so far for the 4 night time shows in the stadium. This doesn't even include the 8 hrs. of concerts per day down by the river.

I know everyone will be watching Idol tonight (I won't, but that's what DVR'S are for), but I just wanted to jump in & remind you that CBS will be airing the Academy of Country Music Awards from Las Vegas tonight. Carrie is nominated for 5 awards, Song, Single & Video of the year all for Before He Cheats, Album of the year, & Female Vocalist of the Year. She will also be performing Wasted.
For those that get GAC, they will be airing the Red Carpet arrivals an hr. before the awards show begins.
Carrie was just interviewed on the Orange Carpet & there should be no doubts left about her & Tony Romo. He was her escort & they looked real happy together.
BB there are already photos out there.
CMT.com : News : Carrie Underwood Wins Three ACM Awards
Here's an excerpt from that article.
ETA Carrie with her 3 awardsWith Kenny Chesney grabbing the coveted entertainer of the year award, Carrie Underwood picked up three honors to take home the most trophies Tuesday night (May 15) at the 42nd annual Academy of Country Music Awards show in Las Vegas.
In addition to being named top female vocalist, Underwood's debut CD, the quintuple-platinum Some Hearts won in the album of the year category. Her music video for "Before He Cheats" resulted in wins for Underwood, producer Randy Brewer and director Roman White.
In accepting her third award of the evening, Underwood said, "I'd like to thank God for giving me so much that I do not deserve. And I'm crying again, because this is what I do at awards shows, so I'm sorry. ... My friends, my family, fans, thank you. God bless you. And, of course, the place that started it all. ... I would not be here if it weren't for American Idol."

Thanks for the article Unk. Carrie never fails to mention God, the fans, & AI/19 management for all she has acheived. It was nice to hear her again acknowledge those that have helped to put her where she is, as opposed to so many that try to separate themselves the minute they are off of the show.Originally Posted by Unklescott;2394565;
Carrie was interviewed on the Orange Carpet last night & she was asked “If she had to choose any 1 of the 5 awards to win which would it be?” She said it would be nice to win Female Vocalist, but the one she really wanted was for album of the year because so many people had worked so hard to make it a success. She said it would be great for all the musicians, songwriters & producers that made such a huge contribution. Here is a bit of info for you.
She is only the 4th solo female country artist to win this award. The previous 3 were Donna Fargo (1972), K. T. Oslin (1988) and Shania Twain (1995).
She is only the 5th artist to win for their debut album. The others have been Donna Fargo (1972), Randy Travis (1986), Clint Black (1989) and Brooks & Dunn (1992).
Speaking of Album of the year, the Some Hearts chart dominance continues unabated. This week the album will finish at #8 on the Billboard Top 200 charts & is back to #1 on the Country Albums Charts. This is an incredible 79 weeks later & she is still outselling albums by Martina McBride & Tim McGraw that were released just 2 months ago, & she passed Miranda Lambert & Blake Shelton who were 1 & 2 last week even though this is just the second week of release for both of them.
Due to the Mothers Day bump, sales were up across the board & Carrie sold in the neighborhood of 58,000 beating the #2 Country album by 17,000.
