Ahahaha, that is what you get Stupid ASHLEEEE

It was classic. I love when lip-synchers get busted. Ashlee has no excuse for lip-synching, which I'm sorry to inform her fans, she ALWAYS does. She doesn't dance or anything that would give her an excuse for it.
Anyway, she sang the first couple words over the pre-recorded track in the first number, and then lip-synched the rest of it.
Then for her second song, the tape started and it was Pieces of Me again and her pre-recorded voice was singing it! To cover it, her band started playing along really loud to try to hide her voice singing the song she just lip-synched to. She danced a little bit, really cheesy, and then just walked right off.
Clearly she was performing to tapes both times, as they accidentally put in the wrong tape. The band wasn't even playing until they tried to cover her butt.
I couldn't believe she blamed the band!! I was offended that she questioned my intelligence by claiming "the band started playing the wrong song." Um, then why was your voice singing the song you just lip-synched too?! Ugh.
Classic. I loved it.
I just saw the debacle on CNN. And what was up with that dancing? It DID look like she was trying to do a little jig. The Empress has no clothes.
It was on CNN?! Oh, that's great! I love it!!
It makes her look so bad because clearly if she wasn't lip-synching to a tape and the band actually DID start the wrong song, they could have just started over and she could have sang the correct one. But because it was a TAPE and her voice was singing to the song she just lip-synched, she had to stand there while it played. Her microphone probably wasn't even on since she wasn't singing so that's why she just danced like a looney and walked off in embarassment.
You know, I don't care much for Jessica either, but at least Jessica sings live usually.

http://story.news.yahoo.com/news?tmp...ashlee_simpsonDid 'SNL' Gaffe Expose Simpson Vocal Aid?
By DAVID BAUDER, AP Television Writer
NEW YORK - Singer Ashlee Simpson (news)'s "extra help" may have been exposed when a "Saturday Night Live" audience heard her voice — singing the wrong song — while she held a microphone at her waist.
Her record company blamed a computer glitch and she blamed her band for Sunday morning's incident, which cut off her planned performance of the song "Autobiography" on the network comedy show.
Simpson had performed her hit single "Pieces of Me" without incident earlier in the show. When she came back a second time, her band started playing and the first lines of her singing "Pieces of Me" could be heard again.
She looked momentarily confused as the band plowed ahead with the song and the vocal was quickly silenced.
Simpson made some exaggerated hopping dance moves, then walked off the stage 35 seconds into the performance. NBC quickly cut to a commercial.
"What can I say?" guest host Jude Law said with Simpson standing next to him at the end of the show. "Live TV."
"Exactly," Simpson said. "I feel so bad. My band started playing the wrong song. I didn't know what to do so I thought I'd do a hoe-down."
Her record company, Geffen Records, said there was a computer glitch. Instead of some pretaped electronic percussion, the recording of "Pieces of Me" started mistakenly performing, the record company said in a statement.
But it sounded suspiciously like a guide vocal that's a common — although almost always unspoken — concert aid. Either the singer "lip synchs" by mouthing words to a backing tape or has a live microphone and sings along to the tape, making the voice sound more powerful than it is.
Such vocal tricks have been used before on the show, making "Saturday Night Live" not entirely live, said a show insider who spoke on condition of anonymity.
A Geffen spokeswoman did not immediately return a call for comment.
Simpson's walk-off joins the lore of other unexpected music moments on "SNL": Elvis Costello (news) stopping and changing songs on live TV, and Sinead O'Connor (news) tearing up a picture of the pope.

The good news was that I was relieved to not have to sit through a second number by this minge.
The bad news was, Ashlee's gaffe was the funniest segment on SNL all night.

as i said on the SNL thread, for the west coast airing, they "edited out" the pre-cued vocals, so it looks like the band just started playing and it looked like she just walked off the stage for no reason.
Oh this is great.
What was up with her skipping? It looked like she was having a panic attack!
You know, I heard a song by her a month or so ago - and I didn't know who it was, but I kept thinking this is the worst, generic piece of garbage I have ever heard......and then I found out it was Ashley Simpson, and I wasn't surprised. She obviously got where she is because of her sister, and her little goof on SNL only seems to prove that point more.
Yeah, but what would Jessica be like without all those vocal lessons....I see Jessica singing sometimes and I think she has some kind of stomach cramp or something with the weird facial moves she makes with her mouth to get the words out right.Originally Posted by DJeterFan
Ashlee is yet another example of what I like to call "too many fingers in too many cookie jars"....a lot of celebrities nowadays like to milk their fame by feeling compelled to "record a CD", create perfume, a clothing line, star in a movie or whatever and you know what? They can...manufacture their voice, slap in some cool music, use their existing image and wha-la, a new recording artist is born. Oh well, if my apple fell of a celebrity tree, I suppose I would do the same thing.
I think this is hilarious...call it for what it is and don't blame anybody else. It would have looked a lot better if she would have just laughed it off and called it a live TV moment on SNL instead of pointing her finger.
