Judging on popularity, and not personal opinion, I am going to go with Usher's 'Yeah' and Ashlee Simpson's 'Pieces of Me.'

I would say Usher's big 3, 'Yeah', 'Burn' and 'Confessions'. Then there was 'The Reason' by Hoobastank. 'Leave' by Jojo was pretty big, but she will turn into a one hit wonder. Plus she never wrote it herself so I wouldn't put it even near the best song. 'Are You Gonna Be My Girl' by Jet was pretty big earlier too. I am sure everyone will have their own opinion but I think those were all pretty huge hits.

I'd have to go with either Usher's 'Confessions' or Franz Ferdinand's 'Take Me Out'. 'The Reason' was a big hit, but I refuse to believe that it's the best song of the year. Hell, it's not even the best song on the CD

My personal favorite this year is (surprise surprise) U2's "Vertigo."

Jet's song was out last year....

But as for this year...Usher was huge. So was Fat joe. . . and i can only assume that Nelly's current song and Destiny's Child will be as well...but is def. Usher.

Well, everyone does have their own tastes, of course... and who knows whats going to come out in the near future.. With Christmas just around the corner, its another big time for New Music... I'd also like to add to the list, Black Eyed Peas "Hey Mama" it was a really big Radio song, and I think it even got good Airtime on TV too... all around good song I thought.. just kind of wish the remix verison was featured on my CD.. but even still, its still good..
