Yep, I agree Blues. We played that at my dad's funeral and to this day I have a hard time hearing it! It is a beautiful song though!Quote:

Um...probably "One Sweet Day" by Mariah Carey. You know, "and I know you're shining down on me from heaven..." ...one of very few songs that make me cry. "Daddy's Little Girl" by Frankie J is a bit sad too. Doesn't make me cry though...
I don't know if this song is already mentioned in this thread, but it gets me EVERY time. John Michael Montgomery's "The Little Girl":
Her parents never took the young girl to Church
Never spoke of His name
Never read her His word
Two non-believers walkin' lost in this world
Took their baby with them
What a sad little girl
Her Daddy drank all day and Mommy did drugs
Never wanted to play
Or give kisses and hugs
She'd watch the TV and sit there on the couch
While her Mom fell asleep
And her Daddy went out
And the drinking and the fighting
Just got worse every night
Behind their couch she'd be hiding
Oh, what a sad little life
And like it always does
The bad just got worse
With every slap and every curse
Until her Daddy in a drunk rage one night
Used a gun on her Mom
And then took his life
And some people from the city
Took the girl far away
To a new Mom and a new Dad
Kisses and hugs everyday
Her first day of Sunday school the teacher walked in
And a small little girl stared at a picture of Him
She said, "I know that Man up there on that cross
I don't know His name but I know He got off
Cause he was there in my old house
And held me close to His side
As I hid there behind our couch
The night that my parents died
JOHN MICHAEL MONTGOMERY - THE LITTLE GIRL LYRICS
When The Eagles Cry by Iced Earth.
It's about 9-11. :(
I went to a concert last night. Collin Raye and a local band, The Charley Jenkins band. I hadn't heard of them before, but they have a couple of albums and are pretty dang good. Anyway, Charley Jenkins wrote a song about his dad, who died of cancer. It was called Hero at Home. With losing my dad earlier this hear, it got me and I was in the stands bawling like a baby.
There was another one called Round Here, about the local families that pitched in to help him with the farm when his dad died.
Honestly, I went to the concert thinking who in the heck was this guy and when he left the stage, I was a fan.
Then Collin Ray had a song that made me cry, it is called A Soldier's Prayer.
This is a golden oldie, but it gets me everytime. I think its about the saddest country song EVER: He stopped loving her today.
I always cry, but I love the song. And I love George Jones.
The songs that make me cry are:
"When I get Where I'm Going" - Brad Paisley w/Dolly Parton
"Time" - Alan Parsons Project
"I Will Remember You" - Sarah McLaughlin
"Goodbye My Friend" - Linda Ronstadt
"Beautiful Boy" - John Lennon
"Danny Boy" (it's the saddest of all for me)
It doesn't make me cry, but Alan Jackson's "Remember When" always makes me misty eyed.
At Last - Etta James (But in a good way) :)
:crying
from the movie Leaving Las Vegas there is a song on the Soundtrack called My One and Only sung by Sting. It gets me everytime. Im a hopeless romantic, lol.
