I'm gonna sound like asuch a dork, because you all have really cool taste in music. But my absolute favorite part of the Peter Cetera Classic "Glory of Love" is the part where he goes "Just like knight in shining armor, from a long time ago..." It's so dramatic and 80s and cheesy, I just melt whenever I hear it

Snowie! Thank you for giving me a hard time because it shows how little I know about music and how much more I have (and want)to learn.
I am so embarrassed, as I know both you and Manny are fans of the Cocteau Twins.
I love that song, it's just that I found it difficult to choose my favorite part. I do agree with you, her voice is beautiful and that's why I love it so much.
I shall do some research from now on before posting.

DVM, I agree 100% with your post.

The guitar intro to Depeche Mode's Dream on, that's just stellar.
" I look like Nigella Lawson with a $#*!ing hangover."

So you've been misplacing all my CD's Speedy?

I like this line from "Temptation", the New Order song:

"Oh, you've got green eyes, oh, you've got blue eyes, oohh you've to grey eyes..."
" I look like Nigella Lawson with a $#*!ing hangover."

    Two songs come to mind:

    1) Piano solo toward the end of Eric Clapton's "Layla".
    2) Female vocalist in Meatloaf's "I'd Do Anything For Love (But I Won't Do That)".

The *orgasm* section in Led Zeppelin's "Whole Lotta Love".

The bass line in David Wilcox's "Bearcat".

The chorus of Blue Rodeo's "Try".

And, of course, Janis Joplin's rap in the live version of "Ball and Chain".

(I'm showing my age. ) And continue to do so:

Jay, I love the piano in "Layla" as well.
Jewls, "Take It To The Limit" is my favourite Eagles song.
