geek the girl, I know only too well!
Perhaps, being from Sweden, you heard "Dragostea Din Tei" by O-zone this past summer? I thought this Moldovan song hit the "so bad it's good" mark dead center, especially with the extreme catchiness and ultra-campy music video. I ought to download the video and share it will all my uncorrupted American friends.

Hillary Duff and Lindsay Lohan are painful, not only to my ears, but to my sense of dignity.

Haha, yep Salome, I had the misfortune of hearing "Dragostea Din Tei" several times this past summer. Still, I prefer the obviously mental, exotically crappy music to the mindless junk that is Hilary Duff or Linday Lohan. At least it has some quirk to it.

I'm from Canada and let me tell you that we had the pleasure to hear that song all summer long, too.
The song alone I can handle to some degree but the video? Wrong!!!!

Jessica Simpson's cover of Robbie Williams' Angels or her cover of Take my breath away both get my vote for the worst songs of 2004.
Too much songs have annoyed me this year but I can't get over these two.

Ashlee Simpson has made the worst try-hard songs this year.

They are so horrible to listen to!

"Just Lose It" by Eminen is just awful!
A recent survey stated that the average person's greatest fear is having to give a speech in public. Somehow this ranked even higher than death which was third on the list. So, you're telling me that at a funeral, most people would rather be the guy in the coffin than have to stand up and give a eulogy.

ME TOO!!! It irritates the crap out of me and I just *don't* understand how they keep playing it over and over again without comitting suicide!

Hey Salome, I heard Dragostea Din Tei on radio here in Canada the whole summer, but it was from someone else: it was by Haiducii!! and i actually didn't dislike it. It sounded fun to me since i'm a dance music fan!
