    "Tragedy" by the Bee Gees.

Which is appropriate, because I don't like the Bee Gees.

Oh my God! You just made me feel sooo old! It was one of my favourite songs growing up. It's a mellow, acoustic rock ballad that can probably be found on a number of "Best of the 90's" collections, and I remember having a major crush on the guitarist. (Wasn't his name Nuno or something like that? Anyway, I still fantasize about those cheekbones...) The video sometimes shows up on MTV2 or VH1, so you might be able to see (and hear) it.

I like "More Than Words" too. Although it has inexplicably been running through my head for the past few days, making me like it a little less. Is somebody using it on a TV commercial maybe? I can't figure out why it keeps playing in my head.

Poor Little Fool was YUGE hit. I owned a 45 of it and played it so much that I wrecked a phongraph needle.

When I googled this, I laughed at most of the songs from my birth year. One that we all know is Over The Rainbow by Judy Garland.

Cool! That's about a week before me. October 1st.

And I've never heard of most of the songs that were #1 that year.
