Pretty good top 10. I'd swap Redman for Dr. Dre though. JMO....

I like KJ-52 myself... generally not a big rap music fan... there was a time I liked Eminem, but then I decided to stop listening cause I realized he is a moron.

I can't say I listen to a ton of new rap, but I was and still am a huge fan of much of what was out from the mid-80s to mid-90s. (look at my age )

Pretty good list, I'll add or comment on a couple I like:

Rakim - I remember buying Eric B. and Rakim's "Follow the Leader" on tape in 1988. He probably has my favorite delivery (listen to a song like Follow the Leader, where he says things like "the stage is a cage, the mic is a third rail".

Chuck D. - brilliant, for not only his power and sincerity, but for his writing and message. "It Takes a Nation of Millions to Hold Us Back" is still one of my favorite albums.

    KRS-One

Snoop Dogg - very unique, laid back style.

Ice Cube - not only a great style, but another great writer. You can see why NWA went downhill after he left.

Eazy-E - some of his stuff isn't so hot, but another unique style. "Maybe it's because I kick so much butt, I kick ass"

    Tupac

I'm sure I'm forgetting some that I'll have to add later.

So I said to him, "Look, buddy, your car was upside down when we got here. And as for your Grandma, she shouldn't have mouthed off like that!" --Homer Simpson
