I am not planning on going to any concerts. The last one I went to was Toby Keith in 2005.

I went to see 84 year old Earl Scruggs with Family & Friends last night at the Symphony Hall here. It was awesome. There was something poignant about seeing a legend at the end of his career. Bela Fleck played in the opening quartet and came out for Earl's encore along with Mark O'Connor. I thought Bela was going to float off stage after getting to play with the man who inspired him to take up the banjo.

Mark O'Connor? He's a great fiddle player. I didn't realize he was from Seattle. (I just did a quick Google search.

) I haven't seen him in quite sometime. That's sounds like a wonderful show Mar.

I just booked tickets for my parents to go see Crosby, Stills & Nash in Orange Beach, AL next month. I'm excited for them and a bit jealous because I was raised on the original CSN '69 album and hearing any track from that record (yes, vinyl record with Neil Young peaking around the back of the cover) brings back happy memories of the hi-fi booming in the downstairs family room in NJ, being so young that I didn't have to go to school, and not having a care in the world.

I went to see Foreigner tonight. I've seem them twice now. They were really, really good. The lead singer had a mullet and wore a tie-dyed blue vest with nothing under it.

It was pretty sweet.

I'm going to see Daughtry on Saturday.

Mariner, I would have loved to have seen Earl Scruggs. I remember vividly my mom listening to Flatt and Scruggs when I was little. I even have Foggy Mountain Breakdown on my ipod.

Willie Nelson tickets went on sale here Fri. I really wish I had concerts in my budget right now as Boston is also coming and so are Hootie and the Blowfish.
