Coco Magdalena made her debut Sept 2, 2006 7lbs 1oz!!!
"Daddy warned me about Men and Booze, but didn't say anything about Women and Cocaine" - Tallulah Bankhead
mariah carey - through the rain ..... yes its that bad and marilen manson, wierd mix but i find some of his songs meaningful.
I am only into rock music (Coldplay, Muse, Franz Ferdinand, etc), but I will admit that every now and then if I hear an *NSync song I'll like it.![]()
I love you J.J. Abrams for "LOST" AND "ALIAS"!!
Two roads diverged in a wood, and I took the road less traveled by and they CANCELLED MY FRIKKIN' SHOW. I totally shoulda took the road that had all those people on it. Damn. -Joss Whedon (Firefly and Buffy ROCK too!)
I don't think its too shameful to say that "Toxic" is one of Britney's best songs ever. (only good song? That is possible, too)
So the credit should go to her producers and songwriters.
Anyways, that one song by N'Sync'er JC Chasez "Blowin Me Up (with her love)". I think I have burned it on my last 3 mix Cd nows. The lyrics are horrible, but the beat, rythym shifts, and break beats are awesome. (Its also sampled by the TV show "Clean Sweep" in thier intro)
Okay, here it goes. Confessions of a big-time elitist music snob:
While I normally hate everything Mariah Carey with a passion, I have recently discovered that All I Want For Christmas Is You is catchy as hell and a good Christmas song. Very kitschy; you can see all the fake snow and glitter overload in front of you when you listen to it.
I am also somewhat ashamed to admit that I kinda, sorta (but in an ironic, tongue-in-cheek-kind-of-way, of course) like the following songs:
Stronger - Britney Spears (Toxic is also a great song)
Mandy - Westlife (God, I'm embarressed now)
Crazy In Love - Beyoncé
Hole In The Head - Sugarbabes
Can't Get You Out Of My Head - Kylie
"There's more to life than books, you know, but not much more" (Morrissey)
I like a lot of terrible music. I've downloaded songs by Barry Manilow and Gregory Abbot and Billy Ocean*, for crying out loud. Huey Lewis & The News's (News'? Whatever.) Greatest Hits is currently playing in my car. I make no apologies.
*And Michael McDonald, but that guy rules.
Okay, Okay, I'll play along...
I didn't think there was such a thing as "a song I would be embarassed to play"... It is well documented by friends, family and strangers in the next car on any given day that I like pretty much everything and am not shy about letting it be known. I am Metallica's number one fan, but at the same time, have declared my undying love to Country Music; I love Jazz, Big Band and Britney Spears; I've seen every Ozzfest/Woodstock/Alterna-fest and will sob along to Anne Murray's "You needed me". I'm a pistachio nut!
The ONE song I will admit to being too embarassed to play at full volume (actually I will only put it on with headphones--my upstairs neighbors hear every song I play, every show I watch) is this Shania Twain Ditty:
Love Gets Me Every Time
Life was goin' great
Love was gonna have to wait
Was in no hurry-had no worries
Stayin' single was the plan
Didn't need a steady man
I had it covered-'til I discovered
That love gets me every time
My heart changed my mind
I gol' darn gone and done it
Gone and done it (gone and done it)
Guess I fell in love (gone and done it)
Must've been the way he walked (gone and done it)
Or his sweet, sweet talk (gone and done it)
I guess I- - - gol' darn gone and done it
I was quite content
Just a-payin' my own rent
It was my place-I needed my space
I was free to shop around
In no rush to settle down
I had it covered-'til I discovered
That love gets me every time
My heart changed my mind
I gol' darn gone and done it
Gone and done it (gone and done it)
Guess I fell in love (gone and done it)
Must've been the way he walked (gone and done it)
Or his sweet, sweet talk (gone and done it)
I guess I- - - gol' darn gone and done it
Love gets me every time
My heart changed my mind
I gol' darn gone and done it
Gone and done it (gone and done it)
Guess I fell in love (gone and done it)
Must've been the way he walked (gone and done it)
Or his sweet, sweet talk (gone and done it)
It's in the way he calls my name (gone and done it)
I know I'll never be the same (gone and done it)
Love gets me every time
My heart changed my mind
I gol' darn gone and done it
Thought I had it covered
Life was going great
Well I gol' darn gone and done it
The Shame!!!!! I have to go hide under the covers now

Could does not mean should
*Uh, no he doesn't.Neither does Melissa Manchester.
Michael McDonald though, his voice drives me insane! It's bad enough on it's own, but when he was doing those commercials, ick.
However, Billy Ocean is okay. Who can resist the classics like 'Get outta my car' and 'Carribean Queen'?
If you go through a lot of hammers each month, I don't think it necessarily means you're a hard worker.
It may just mean that you have a lot to learn about proper hammer maintenance.
No, no, no. You get outta his DREAMS, but INTO his car. Sheesh.
Heh. The most people can muster up when they see my CD collection is "hmmm... odd." I have everything from The Nylons, to Linkin Park, Metallica, Michael W. Smith, Shania Twain (and much more obscure country artists), to ABBA, to Broadway soundtracks and Ringo and his All-Star Band.Originally Posted by Amanda
