    hello

Thought this would be a good first post to let everyone know a little about who I am.

Opening Credits-Childhood Flashback Fade Into Waking Up Sequence: Coldplay - Clocks (Acoustic)
High School/College Flashback Sequence: Green Day - Good Riddance
Party Scene: Marky Mark & The Funky Bunch - Good Vibrations
Driving Aimlessly Sequence: Gwenyth Paltrow - Cruising Together
The First Love: Louis Armstrong - What a Wonderful World
Sex Scene: Edwyn Collins - Never Met a Girl Like You Before
Break Up Scene: Eve 6 - Here's to the Night
Regret Scene: Billy Talent - Try Honesty

    Epiphany: U2 - Beautiful Day

Life Before My Eyes Sequence: Israel Kamakawiwo'ole - Somewhere Over the Rainbow/What a Wonderful World
Funeral Scene: Rufus Wainwright - Hallelujah
Closing Credits: Pink Floyd - Great Gig in the Sky

I actually had already made a "life soundtrack" but not in this format as far as the scenes and everything, so I gave it a shot. I actually had a lot of different songs for each category, and I ended up making a few alternate soundtracks with different types of music, but this one is one that really works well for me, because it has almost all of my favorite songs/bands.

MataThon05 - welcome to The FORT.

I just re-read my selections and I want to add some comments. It was very late when I did those.

First of all...my college selection might make some think I'm a druggie...I assure you I've never smoked hash in my life...the reason I chose that song was because I saw Weezer about 20 times while I was in college and every time I hear them I always think of those days...the reason I chose that song in particular is because of the music and some of the lyrics.

Second - I know phish didn't do the gin n juice remake...but for a long time a lot of people thought it was phish (myself included) and I can't think of the name of the band that actually did it....all I know is it's 'The something? something?' and I don't think they ever did any other songs - Anyone know who that was?

Thirdly - I chose 'going away to college' for the lyrics - which don't fit with the title IMO - so if you look at the title and don't know the song you may be going... - same goes for 'good riddance'.

Wish I had put some WP and nirvana in there....oh well, maybe for the sequel.
Look, I love me most...If I could run across the beach into my own arms, I would.
