I would LOVE to see a summer festival tour that featured a bunch of the synth-rock bands of the late 80's / early 90's...

    The Smiths
    The Dead Kennedys
    Depeche Mode
    Duran Duran
    Sugar
    The Lemon Heads
    AHA
    Flock of Seagulls

    etc

    I wouldn't call the Dead Kennedy's synth.

True, true, true Texi...same with the Lemon Heads...I just tend to lump them all together as they were all groups i listened to a lot at that point in time.

So lets just change it to a festival concert of bands that are from that time frame - give or take.

Love New Order, Eldee! My fave british pop/synth band is Erasure though.

Wow, great thread, I missed this before. I was a hardcore fan of both the Smiths and Depeche Mode--and I love Morrissey too.

I was even able to see The Smiths in concert when I was like 11! Then since Depeche Mode stayed together for much longer, I saw them 5 times in concert on different tours.

What are your guys's fave albums or songs?
