I don't have song lyrics to post but I do have a lyrics question of sorts. Anyone know of a song by a guy saying something along the lines of "I want to make you my wife" ? It's been played on the radio in the past 5 months or so. It supposedly has to do with a guy being shipped overseas and he wants to get married before he goes. Thanks!

TRIVIA:
The song "I Love You" that the lovely Averagejane is referencing was originally written and performed in the late 1970's.

The name of the original artists that wrote and recorded it were the "Climax Blues Band". I think their version is head and shoulders the best. Check it out. It was a pretty big hit.

It has been remade a few times, most recently by "Nine Days" and that is probably the version you have been hearing on the radio.
