I just received Icky Thump by the White Stripes and Anonymous by Tomahawk in the mail today. Both of them are brilliant, and it's a good thing my CD player holds three discs, because neither of these two will be leaving it anytime soon!

I will have to check out that White Stripes cd.
I very much believe in rescuing animals, not buying them.

Oooh, Swedish band, Swedish band! My fiancÚ's band actually opened for Peter Bjorn and John a few years ago, pre-"Young Folks", Letterman and that Kanye West song. So that's my claim to fame.

I picked up a bunch of CDs before my trip up north:

Back to Black - Amy Winehouse
The Best of the Mamas & the Papas (ideal summer tunes)
Death Proof soundtrack - I saw the movie about a month ago and fell in love with the music. Great stuff!

Does purchasing it on iTunes count? Because I just purchased Jack Wagner's Dancing In the Moonlight CD. I had to. I have his other ones so I had to complete my collection.

Amy Winehouse - Back to Black.

She is so talented. I hope she can lay off the alcohol and have a long career.
