Monkey Business by the Black Eyed Peas. I love it!
I just got two new CDs.
One is Plans by Death Cab for Cutie. I had actually never heard this group before, but I kept hearing about them and decided it was high time I saw what the fuss was about--I've got to keep up with these crazy college kids. As it turns out, I love it! Brilliant songwriting, production, and the lead singer has a lovely voice, imo. I'd definitely recommend it.
The other is This Station is Non-Operational, which is an anthology of the group At the Drive-In. It's the polar opposite of the other CD. This one's visceral, intense, loud . . . but the songs are filled with passion and I really dig it. ATDI was a great ensemble, but most likely an acquired taste.
(By the way, the lead singer and lead guitarist of ATDI are now in The Mars Volta. That's how I heard about 'em. If that means anything to you, well, I love you.) :laugh
I got the Rockstar Live at the Mayan CD.
Some people are scarily bad and can't even be helped by studio manipulations, but overall it is not horrible..
Today I just bought "The Very Best of Peter, Paul and Mary". :yay
Guess that makes me a dork tooQuote:

Real Fine Place - Sara Evans
Still trying to find the soundtrack to Rent (the movie - have the broadway version) in a B&M store without having to order online.
I want to get the Hot, Hot, Heat cd and the Jakalope cd. My last cd was Oasis- Don't Believe the Truth.
Extraordinary Machine - Fiona Apple
If you are or were a Fiona fan,I recommend her latest highly. This disc has been on hold for 2 years because her record company said there are no singles on it. While I don't disagree with that,I do think this album should be experienced by people who love her voice and artistry. This is one of my all-time faves. :yay
