| Well, for my birthday today, I got "The Green Album" from Weezer and "Meddle" by Pink Floyd.

| Coldplay - X&Y - Been a fan since the early days and this one doesn't disappoint. System Of A Down - Mezmerize - Ditto this band as with Coldplay. Really like them, too, and if you like their previous work, this album is definitely worth purchasing. I expected them to maybe change a bit, but they are true to their style here. James Blunt - Back To Bedlam - New find. Amazing. I've been playing this one non-stop for the past week. I love this forum and have frequently purchased albums on the strength of the recommendations I have read here. I had completely forgotten that Gorillaz had released another album, so that's on my list now. These are my recent 5 out of 5 purchases. I won't list the others that didn't measure up. However, I do want to mention that Jason Mraz comes out on 7/26, so I thought I'd give him a plug. I think he doesn't get nearly enough recognition. | |

| Well, I went on another CD splurge with my $25 gift certificate given to me by my friend for my birthday and I bought... -"Get Behind Me Satan" by The White Stripes (Mantenna, I can see what you mean by the backwoods/country influences) -"Fever to Tell" by The Yeah Yeah Yeahs (Awesome album...quite an underrated band if you ask me)
