i thought that in Jessica Simpsons "With You", "the real me is a southern girl..." but i thought she said "to grill me is a southern girl". And my sister thought that "nothin but a tee shirt on" was "nothin but a t shidone" (whatever that means lol)
all that shimmers in this world is sure to fade

Michelle Branch has a song called "I'd Rather Be In Love" on her album. I love it. Anyways, there's a line in the song that goes:

    "Turn out the lights now
    To see is to believe"

    I thought it was:

    "To know that I smell
    To see is to believe"

    I was all WTF?!?

In, Britney Spear's "Toxic" when it goes "what a taste of poison paradise" I thought she sang "boys of paradise".

I read an article recently about "mondegreens," where the author starts by saying he was listening to Clay Aiken's song "I Survived You," and he could not understand why Iowans would write Clay off.
He thought the song said "When you wrote me off like Iowans do." That seemed strange. He could understand Iowans writing off a political candidate but not a wholesome down to earth kid like Clay.
Later he discovered the line is really "When you wrote me off like I was doomed."

In "Complicated" by Avril Lavigne, she sang "you promise me I'm never gonna find you faking". For the longest time, I thought she was singing "I'm never gonna find you naked."

In Avril's "Complicated", I thought she sang "promise me I'm never gonna find you, baby".

In Britney Spear's "Shadow" the line goes "It's only your shadow, never yourself" I thought it was "love yourself" instead of never.
