    Who sings it?

I thought it would be neat to have an informational thread to help people figure out who sings certain songs they like on the radio but can't identify. Post your question and whoever knows it can help you out.

Maybe I'm the only one who will get any use out of this.
When you're ten years old and a car drives by and splashes a puddle of water all over you, it's hard to decide if you should go to school like that or try to go home and change and probably be late. So while he was trying to decide, I drove by and splashed him again. - Jack Handey

    First up:

Who sings that "right about now...funk soul brother...check it out now...funk soul brother" song?

Great topic, Paulie! Oh, I hear that song all the time, and I can't recall who sings it.

I really like that song, even though it appears to have only eight unique words in it.

    Paulie, it's Fatboy Slim.
The song is called "The Rockafeller Skank"

Who sings the one that goes, "Tell me all your thoughts on God"?

My wife says it's Dishwalla. Never heard of 'em. Is she right?

Yup, it's Dishwalla. The song title is "Counting Blue Cars" and the lyrics can be accessed at http://www.dishwalla.com/albums.php?album=1995&track=03

I am sooo the resident lyrics buff.

How about the song that says, "Love can be so boring"? Is that Vertical Horizon?
