I thought the reunion show was pretty boring except the thing with Knight. Also, I guess CT was trying to joke around concerning the host, since it was a live show and all, but wasn't that a little over the top?

CT made it a joke and it wasn't that funny and it was a waste of 5 minutes. You spend the last 10 yrs of your life on TV and you claim privacy..really.

Why is Knight getting upset over something that happened over 6 months ago ... he was getting upset over something Frank said about Jemmye months ago .. Jemmye and Frank obviously have settled it between themselves and yet
Knight slaps Frank for it .. seems rather staged especially since you see Knight loving getting Jemmye upset by throwing ketchup on her. I wonder if Knight is so hungry to win a challenge he started a rivalry with Frank in the hope of partnering with him in Rivals III.

Frank would never survive without some one with the political pull that Johnny has.
The right teams won. I would have liked to see Cara and Cooke win just because I think Paula is a loser and needs to get a real job. Then again, when you break down the money, it really isnt "live changing". 125 split two ways after taxes is only about 30-35k. That would not be able to support someone past a year. (unless your Johnny who lives at home with his mom still).
Pumped for a new season. Hopefully they dump these gimmicky teams and go to a more every man for self format.

I thought the winners received $125,000 each. Not so?

Yes, that part was very confusing because that is what I thought and I have seen that in previous seasons.

The total amount of prize money was $350,000:

    1. 2 winning teams (male and female) win $125,000 each for a total of $250,000.

    2. 2 second place teams (male and female) win $35,000 each for a total of $70,000.

    3. 2 third place teams (male and female) win $15,000 each for a total of $30,000.

    Therefore:

    $250,000 + $70,000 + $30,000 = $350,000

Finally got around to watching the finale episode (not the reunion yet) yesterday. Was glad to see Emily/Paula and CT/Wes win. I could never do any of those gross food challenges. Just hearing someone else hurl sends me over the edge let alone everyone doing it together all at the same time. I would have quit right then and there lol

    Therefore:

    $250,000 + $70,000 + $30,000 = $350,000

Just to clarify a bit each winner received $62,500 (that's $125,000/2 = $62,500) after taxes they receive about 60% of the prize which is $37,500.

Each second place winner received $17,500 (that's $35,000/2 = $17,500) after taxes they receive about 60% of the prize which is $10,500.

Each third place winner received $7,500 (that's $15,000/2 = $7,500) after taxes they receive about 60% of the prize which is $4,500.

That and a 4 to 5 week adventure vacation in Thailand.

I always say that they don't win that much money. No one can live off 32k in this world and the odds of you being the one to win that are not great.
For most of them, this is their form of income. They can't possibly hold on to real jobs and take all this time off every few months.
I would love an mtv special where we see what they do in their down time. What the % that still live home with parents? O/U 55%?

The more popular ones tour college campuses, they get paid appearance fees and sell t shirts and stuff.
