I'm disappointed that CT and Diem didn't come in first, because I honestly think they deserved it (...and I cannot stand Johnny and Camilla). Diem can't be faulted at all. Wow! She was a woman on a mission and nobody was going to stop her. YAY for her!

Looking forward to next week's show.

I had hoped CT and Diem would win (or Emily and Ty, but I knew that was a long shot) because of how far they had come and how well they were working together.

I just read that they've renewed this for another season!

First half of finale consisted of two checkpoints:
    • 1. Dog Sled Race
    • 2. River Plunge

    Overnight Camp on glacier.

Second half of finale is 12 miles long:
    • run 2 miles in snow to
    • 3. A Feast for a Viking
    • run in snow to mile 4
    • 4.Ice Key
    • snow shoe to next checkpoint
    • 5. Poled Out - puzzle
    • snow shoe to next checkpoint
    • 6. What an Icy Hole - dig through snow, crawl thru tunnel
    • snow show to next checkpoint
    • 7. Sliced UP - puzzle
    • Finish It - put 7 artifacts into sundial - unlock it, open it and get Viking Horn - CT is exhausted
    • climb up to top of mountain and touch flag base and blow horn

It can get a little redundant seeing Johnny win again, but he deserved it. I remember in past Challenge shows that CT would get on people's cases about not stepping it up, but he really dropped the ball in this one, and blew the game for his team. He looked more gassed out than I've ever seen Big Eric. This challenge was kinda a letdown, and except for early on, there weren't any big time feuds.

I was very impressed with Diem and how she performed.

Hey guys... my wife and I just started watching this show last season (Rivals) and we have loved it since then! Both this and last were great. We want to go back and watch some old ones, but are curious which are the best to watch? Just wondering what everyone's favorite seasons are? Thanks!

Re: MTV The Challenge: Battle of the Exes

The shows have evolved very much over the years and I have liked all of them but if I had to go back and watch now I honestly don't know what my opinion would be. The big difference is that the old shows used to be in a half hour format vs the 1 hour now. I think the show really changed during Fresh Meat I with the introduction of Kenny and Evan. They seemed to be able to socially and politically rule the series and I am glad that they are not featured that much in the last couple of series. Wes really stood out during Fresh Meat I, I was amazed at his performance especially with his partner. The Gauntlet is also a stand out for me as Sarah Greyson from Road Rules Campus Crawl who originally was to be on the Real World ended on Road Rules. She was not physically that great. However to prep for the Gauntlet she had dropped 35lbs and done a lot of cardio. However she was perceived to be a weak link and voted into the Gauntlet 5 times and won 5 times. Her team ended up winning the grand prize and she never appeared on any more shows.

So yeah, The Gauntlet and Fresh Meat I are standouts for me anyway and not a bad series to watch. Gauntlet III is also fun to watch just to see Eric used as a threat in the Gauntlet but in reality was physically not able to keep up with his team and ended up being medically evacuated and having the entire team blame him for losing the finale by default. Priceless. Seeing Eric 2 years later in Cutthroat, and 35 to 45 lbs lighter and supposedly physically more capable is also a treat, that and Abram's horrible performance during the finale.

Yes, MTV has renewed The Challenge. It is one of their highest rated shows.

Saw the reunion nothing to write home about. Paula was upset because she lost her boyfriend over the Ty incident but mainly everyone was nice to each other. Johnny will not admit he is a manipulator and that's about it.
