Sharon Stone could play Hillary Clinton
Sharon Stone has reportedly been approached to play Hillary Clinton in a TV movie about the wife of the former US president.
American Arts and Entertainment Network is developing the movie about Mrs Clinton based on the best selling book Hillary's Choice.
Casting for the movie, due to air in 2004, has yet to be confirmed
But according to the New York Post the 45-year-old Basic Instinct star has been approached to play the role.
The book deals with Bill and Hillary's lives from 1992 when they moved into the White House.
It also covers the former president's affair with intern Monica Lewinsky and Mrs Clinton's own political career leading to her election as a Senator.
A&E's chief programmer Robert DeBitetto told the New York Post: "I can't think of a more emotional or relevant personal history or saga than that of Senator Clinton.
"We think it'll make fantastic entertainment. The story's got all the elements, it's got humour, there's pathos, drama, relevance and topicality.
"We certainly hope that it'll be a fair and balanced portrayal."
