I had previously seen Snow White and The Huntsman and while that movie started out well halfway through it got worst and worst. It had great costume designs and Charlize Theron ate up the screen with her Evil Queen. Therefore I was going in to see Winter's War with no expectations. Winter's War is a hundred times better then it's predecessor. There was a story that actually that set up the Snow White film and continues with what happened afterward. They didn't over do the appearance of The Evil Queen and the trailers and the snippet explaining the film are really misleading as to what really happens. They did a good job continuing the world view, the costumes especially of the two queens were outstanding. This was a much better film and hopefully word of mouth will help as the critics are not helping, it's as if they are still slinging venom from the first film.

Family film: yes.
No bad language or nudity.
Fun, fantasy and action, no blood or guts.
