    Just got home from seeing it. Absolutely LOVED every minute of it.

    I think they represent that you've even got to be careful of those creatures that seem harmless (like John Reid). If you make them mad enough (or if they get hungry enough), they will eat (destroy) ANYTHING.

    My theory about the rabbits...

    According to Wikipedia, an early script of this film was more supernatural and involved werewolves. I think the werewolves came out, and as a joke werebbits were added in.
