Agreed about speeches, CCL. Nothing worse on these shows as when someone whips out a list, especially if it's someone we don't even know. Just say thank you and get off. You can thank the phone book later by phone.

Best Original Song...Wow, that list of former winners is especially embarrassing, considering what's nominated (and how few) this year.

The Oscar goes to the song from The Muppets.

The thing with the cymbals was pretty funny.

It was humourous, but I wasn't a fan of the "ogre" talk.

It sounded like drunk pirate to me...which is what Nolte looks like.

Don't care about song except for the scenes of Jason Segel in the audience.

How was Tin Tin not nominated for best animated picture...especially considering two of the nominees were Kung Fu Panda 2 and Puss n Boots?

I only enjoy it when the person being made fun of takes it well. At least if they show the person's face when it's happening. Nolte obviously isn't all that psyched about being there to begin with. Give him a break! Don't make fat jokes about Jonah Hill. It's too close to bullying. Make fun of Clooney or Pitt. They're rich, handsome and have gorgeous girlfriends. That stuff is more funny when the host goes after people who can take it.

I agree. I think that's why I wasn't a fan of it. I was really off-put with the comment about Jonah Hill.

Angie needs a little powder. Why didn't anyone blot her before she went onstage?

Best Adapted Screenplay time. I think it should go to The Ides of March, but it won't. The winner is The Descendants. A movie I loved, so I'm happy.
