Hugo is getting lots of awards tonight - Haven't seen it yet, but it is on my list.

Time for Christopher Plummer to go get his Oscar! No sarcasm or bitterness there. I loved him in Beginners. He deserves it.

And Christopher Plummer claims it! The oldest actor ever and a Canadian to boot!

Christopher Plummer's speech was lovely and everything an acceptance speech should be: witty, warm, well-delivered, and relatively short!

Hopefully more people will see Beginners now! It was one of my favorites of the last year and I don't know many people who saw it. Just lovely.

CCL - I was about to ask "Is Emma drunk?" when she first came out! I couldn't imagine that she would be, but still. She's so funny.

Great speech from CP! I'm so glad they didn't cut him off!

Okay, not to be rude, but they announce the In Memoriam segment coming up that they say will feature screen greats we lost this year and then there's Whitney Houston. Please.

    OT: Good promo to Revenge!

I love these two ladies! Emma stone is such a favourite..and she really seems to have such a good head on her shoulders. Not like some of the other actresses she's been compared to (e.g., Lindsay early in her career).

That was a lame bit with Billy "reading minds." Not funny.

Great speech from Plummer. My speech would suck..I'm always so impressed when they make it witty and heartfelt but not overly rehearsed.

I've no doubt Houston will be featured in the memoriam but hopefully not overshadowing others.

Gorgeous dress on Penelope. Horrible hairdo. Too limp and lank.

Best Score goes to The Artist. Not a surprise, since it was practically played a leading role in that movie.
