    Larry Crowne

Loved "Larry Crowne." Of course, if I heard Tom Hanks read the telephone book (you remember those, don't you?), I'd find him charming and witty. It was a very nice way to spend a couple of hours in an air-conditioned theater (115 here) with my sweetie.

    Glad you enjoyed it.
I just read the review in the Times this morning and it was just awful.

I know it didn't get good reviews. It was pleasant, amusing, charming. Nothing that I can think of that most people couldn't use a little more of in their lives. My favorite scene was one I also saw in the trailers - when she's looking through the door peephole. It was hysterical.

Sounds like the kind of movie we all need to see to cheer us up in this wacky world. I just can't imagine anything with Tom Hanks and Julia Roberts being bad. They are two of my favorite stars; I will watch anything they're in!! Looking forward to seeing more reviews on this thread.

If you want to see violence, sex, swearing, DO NOT go to this movie. It was a good wholesome movie. What a relaxing change.

There was ONE "f-bomb." But if I were Julia's character, I'd have let it fly a lot sooner than she did. Glad you enjoyed the movie, too.

I do not even remember hearing it, either I am so used to it or blocked it out.

It was when she was in the car with her husband.
