Which Movie Always Makes You Cry?

I tried to find an existing thread here, but I couldn't.

The movies I remember the most in life are the ones that have either scared the bejeebers outta me or made me cry like a baby.

What are your everlasting tearjerkers? No matter how many times I see these movies, I'll cry again.

Here's my list, right off the top of my head, I'm sure there are more, no particular order:

    -- Sophie's Choice

    -- The Champ

    -- The Mission

-- The Bridges of Madison County

    -- Bang the Drum Slowly

    -- Brian's Song

-- Madame Butterfly (the opera was made into a beautiful movie!)

Do you have one? Or a list?

Message in a Bottle. I've seen it more times than I can count. I cry harder each time.

The original An Affair to Remember with Cary Grant and Deborah Kerr.
The scene where Cary Grant finds her wheelchair never ceases to make me blubber like a baby.
I also watched it with my Dad - last time I saw him before he died. He cried just as much as I did.

Imitation of Life (the Lana Turner version) EVERY.SINGLE.TIME.

And I only have to hear E.T.'s theme music before I start welling up. I think it was because I was so young when I saw it in the theater that I'm still traumatized by it!

The expression on Cary Grant's face said it all. No dialogue was included or needed.

I couldn't begin to list the movies that bring tears to my eyes, but I agree completely about E.T.

Somewhere in Time - this one's hard b/c I start crying the closer we get to the ending, knowing what's about to come.

    My Girl

An Affair to Remember - wheelchair scene always gets me!

Stepmom - only really affected me after I became a mom

Marley & Me - This was probably the most I've ever cried with a movie - I was sobbing and bawling but couldn't make myself turn it off. My 7-year-old came home at the very end and started crying hard as well (prob. shouldn't have let her watch it). DH came home to the 2 of us sitting on the couch bawling and hugging each other - he couldn't figure out why we didn't just turn the movie off. Needless to say, watching that movie once was enough for me!

The Holiday - Every time I watch this movie it gets me, especially when Jude Laws character starts crying.

I cry thinking about Marley and Me

    Somewhere in Time

Watched Nights in Rodanthe last night - not great, but I was bawling at the end.

8 Degrees - I think this is the name of the movie, with Paul Walker and the sled dogs
