Titanic is a real tear jerker for me.

i don't really cry at sad movies ... i tend to cry from happiness instead. three movies leave me bawling like a baby at the final scene:

    the other sister

I don't know if it made me cry, but The Deer Hunter was the most emotionally powerful movie I've ever seen.
    Terms of Endearment
    Brokeback Mountain
    To Kill a Mockingbird
    Truly, Madly, Deeply
But the No. 1 .... The Times of Harvey Milk (the documentary, not the Sean Penn film). Bawled like a baby the first, second and third time I saw it.

(Titanic and Steel Magnolias are popular tearjerkers, but I have to confess, those movies made me want to retch.)

Besides all the ones mentioned here, and althougth a somewhat strange and different film, What Dreams May Come always tears at my heart. Robin Williams is either wonderful or lousy in his movies.
I just could hardly bear all the tragedy the wife/mother went through.

I'm not a huge cryer, so if a movie makes me cry I KNOW it was a powerful one!!
A more recent film that had me bawling at the end was Pan's Labyrinth. I was not expecting it to be so emotionally powerful. I'm afraid to watch it again because I know I will cry just as hard!

Absolutely, positively agree with Sophie's Choice. It is gut wrenching from start to finish and Meryl Streep is absolutely amazing in this flick. They also filmed parts of the movie in my in-laws' Brooklyn, New York neighborhood... those old, painted lady Victorians, but that was quite a few years before I had even met my husband.
