My neighbor had tassels like those earrings on her ceiling fan chains in the 80s. I've been distracted by them since the red carpet.

Would it seriously kill Jesse Eisneberg to obtain some shampoo and a comb? If Franco can loose the scruff for the Oscars, Jesse can step it up.

I like the way they're announcing the acting nominees. Sandra Bullock looks fabulous!

Best actor (which had better go to Colin!) goes to......(and I even cried during the clip of Colin)...... COLIN FIRTH! Okay, not a surprise, but I'm so happy. He deserved it last year too.

Sandra continues to be the epitomy of how to be under intense life pressures/stressors. Those were some great remarks that had wit but remained classy.
Colin Firth winning the Leading Actor Oscar and then saying that he's afraid his career has just peaked. I don't think the Oscar curse affects the leading men does it? Cute speech!

    Exactly. Couldn't agree more.

Me too. He's the ONLY Darcy!

I just adore Colin. I'm so glad everyone else is catching up with the rest of us who have been fans for years!

It's hard to tell when they had JT almost equally in that shot. Who was nominated again?

Every time Colin Firth opens his mouth I'm reduced to a puddle of goo. He just seems the essence of an English gentlemen, not that I've ever actually met one.

An interesting way to showcase the Best Picture nominees. I rather liked how they interplayed all the scenes with the King's speech.

A friend of mine has just gotten on the Firth train as well. I recommended Another Country followed immediately by St. Trinian's. This win makes up for last year, because A Single Man should have won best actor, if not best picture.

Chiming in a little bit late to the party, but I gotta say that I'm really disappointed with the Oscars this year. I love Oscar season: love watching the movies, love choosing my picks for the win, love watching the actual telecast. But this year was a bit of a snoozefest. There was only one real shocker for me (Hooper). And even if TSN wins BP over TKS, it's not all that much of a shock.

However, I did like Anne and James as the hosts. Nothing amazing, but I'd give them a B.
