    The Kids Are All Right

Anybody seen this yet? Went to see it a couple of days ago because all the reviews said it was outstanding and it has Oscar buzz.

I was unprepared for all the sex and nudity - thought I'd wandered into a porno flick by mistake. And I wondered the entire time how they got these A-list actors to do stuff that is basically x-rated.

The story, on the other hand, was interesting and the people were nice to look at. I could look at Mark Ruffalo all day long - just didn't think I'd see this much of him.

Final word - don't go if you're embarrassed by lots of nude pumping action. I'm still blushing.

Interesting that that is not mentioned at ALL in any of the reviews I've seen! Maybe that explains why what sounds like a good interesting "family" movie has yet to make it out of the art theaters in our area and into the multiplexes!

I'm old - I saw the title of this movie and thought of the Who song of the same title, not anything kid friendly!

Mark Ruffalo has done several films with full frontal nudity. Doesn't suprise me. But thanks for the heads up!

    I just saw this.
Still not certain how I feel about it.
I thought it was good, but based on the reviews at the time and all the Oscar buzz, I expected a lot, I guess.
Whle I thought the acting was good, I kind of felt like the characters were one dimensional.
I also wasn't impressed with the premise that Jules, a lesbian, could turn to Paul for sex. It just kind of took away the movie's credibilty for me.

That is exactly how I felt about it too when I first saw it. I was expecting something "Oscar worthy" and I still don't know if that's what I saw.
