My husband and I saw this movie on the weekend and we both loved it!
While the plot is a little on the predictable side... the overall story is still good. The Italian scenery is spectacular, and I absolutely fell in love with Claire (Vanessa Redgrave's character). I highly recommend this film. Great "chick flick".

I just saw it. I agree with all you said. It is predictable. But, the scenery, the actors are all charming. It's a lovely, easy, very pleasing movie!

I took my MIL and my 9 year old daughter to it on the weekend, and it was great for all of us. Yes, the story is predictable, but the characters are engaging and the scenery is stunning. I loved Claire's story. Vanessa Redgrave was smashing.

I didn't realize this until I looked it up on IMDB: Vanessa Redgrave and Franco Nero (Lorenzo) are married in real life. I thought that was cool, since they made such a lovely couple on-screen.

They both appeared on The View a few weeks ago and told some pretty romantic stories about their lives together. Vanessa's sister, Lynn, had just died at the time. It was quite heartwrenching to see her there.

I just saw this yesterday and I really liked it. Totally corny and predictable, but I still liked it. Good cast and beautiful scenery. There were a few ladies in the theater who seemed genuinely surprised and excited about the ending. I can only surmise that they've never seen one of these movies before!

If you haven't seen it yet... it's definitely worth a rental.

I watched it last week. I enjoyed it, too. Does anyone else think that 'Charlie' resembles Heath Ledger? My favorite line from the movie was when they visited the first Lorenzo. He said...I curse her eyes, I curse her teeth, I curse her mustache......lmao!
