True Grit being remade

Heard on the local news that the Coen Brothers are going to remake True Grit with Matt Damon and Josh Brolin.
They are casting the female lead (baby sister) here in Greenville, SC.

Sorry this one is a classic and should be left alone. I am not a huge John Wayne fan, but I have always loved this movie and think it should be left alone.
I often think remakes fall way short of the original. And you shouldn't mess with the Duke.

My mother LOVED John Wayne and she is probably churning earth right now about this remake.
There are just certain stars and certain movies that don't need to be messed with. This remake includes both the movie and the start. I say NO. I will not be going to see this when it comes out.
