I can't count how many times I've seen this movie. My son was and still is to an extent, fascinated by tornadoes, so we watched this everytime it was on. It was really well done.

I remember watching that movie with my mom and my sister on Super Bowl Sunday when some stations would offer "chick flicks" for the day.

I am originally from small town Kansas, so tornadoes and storms of any sort were a fascination for pretty much most of the people who lived in my hometown. For the time, the CGI of the tornadoes was very well-done. Watching it now, it is a little more unrealistic but I think that's mainly because the technology has improved. I think of the CGI tornadoes in a newer tv series like "Tinman" and the difference is incredible.

That is probably when we watched it too.

Wow there are some excellent choices here - this makes me want to spend a long weekend in bed with the remote!

I can't believe no one loves the 'Au Pair' movies like I do. You guys should seriously check them out!

My dad used to watch "Brian's Song" and one day I saw it was put on dvd in Blockbuster so I rented it. It is a very old made for tv movie, but it makes me cry everytime. My mom also liked some made for tv movie called "Syblil" ( I think that was it). With cable tv and 5million reality shows do they even make made for tv movies anymore.

"sybil" with sally field was a VERY good movie. very hard for me to watch though as i was abused as a child too (so a lot of the her flashbacks bothered me). but sally field did an awesome job in it.

    Sybil (1976) (TV)

they did a remake a few years ago and i was impressed that it was "almost" as good ...

    Sybil (2007) (TV)

My favorite TV movies have been miniseries: Winds of War, The Blue and the Gray and the North and South trilogy. I also liked April Morning (80's movie about the Revolutionary War starring Chad Lowe).

Lonesome Dove for me. I can't count the times my family has watched that movie. Loved the book, too. I've read it 3 or 4 times.

    Re: Best TV Movies

OK, just saw a promo for another possible contender for best TV movie, although this may be a bit more of the "guilty pleasure" bracket.

It's called "My Fake Fiance" and it stars Melissa Joan Hart and Joey Lawrence as two singles who can't stand each other but hatch a plan to fake a wedding to get all the free gifts and money.

It premieres on Sunday, April 19 on ABC Family, and I am adding it to my "best of" list based on the strength of the cast alone. "Joey" and "Clarissa Explains it All"? Incredible.

    Anyone else intrigued? Hehe.

I liked "The Librarian" movies with Noah Wylie. There are now 3 of them "Quest for the Spear", "Return to King Solomon's Mines" and "The Curse of the Judas Chalice". Love Noah Wylie.
